watched Doubt with davey and mark in mark’s theater today.
thoughts on doubt:
- great
- i like how subdued it is, it becomes very intriguing this way
- the beauty of the film comes from the viewer. if you have a keen eye to notice subtle details of the film, it gets quite fascinating. (unlike some of the films that flash its goodness right in front of your face)
- superb acting, SUPERB!
- quite funny - very dark
- meryl streep character was the devil wears prada - holy style
- awesome experience watching it with two very smart friends (they compensate for my stupidness… “what have may”)
- ends with a little bang - meryl’s character is ultra-clarified // oh no, she didn’t!
- like what davey said, its interesting how its about a slant of reality we dont really get to experience
- commentary on church authorities remind me of the old lady who kept pushing me in the church last sunday
- ultimately, you won’t really find out what happens. but, you realize, the film is not about that, its about you knowing the myterious nature of these holy characters … and the kid/s and the parent
